Neighbours star Alin Sumarwata has revealed her own experiences of child birth were even more dramatic than her character Vanessa Villante's are set too be. Vanessa is about to give birth to Lucas Fitzgerald's baby, and the soap actress has a 16-month-old daughter Tilda. But Alin told Inside Soap magazine: "My circumstances were completely the opposite from Vanessa's - my baby came early and I had a very long, painful labour. "Vanessa's is late and she has a very quick labour. "If I'd reenacted my own birthing experience, it wouldn't have been suitable for a family audience!" Vanessa is caught in a love triangle with Lucas and Rhys Lawson. Alin revealed: "Rhys is undergoing a massive change, and starting to become the person Vanessa has always wanted him to be. "But Lucas has been there for her all along, and is always supportive. And once the baby comes , it's going to change everything..."
