Capital FM DJ and TV presenter Dave Berry is expected to star in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Andy Murray's mum Judy, former Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack and former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright, claims a tabloid newspaper.

The 35-year-old radio breakfast star, who was engaged to Sugababe’s Heidi Range before they split in 2011, is set to follow in the footsteps of his co-presenter Lisa Snowdon, who was third in the 2010 series, writes the Sunday People.

All four judges, Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli, have confirmed their return.

They will be joined by new presenting duo Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman - created following Bruce Forsyth’s departure.

In 2011 Dave quashed rumours he would star in the hit dance contest, joking he wasn’t well enough endowed for the tight costumes.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC1 later this year. Last year’s coveted glitterball trophy was won by 28-year-old model Abbey Clancy, wife of Stoke City footballer Peter Crouch.
