Sanderson: I'm not like Maxine

Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson has said she's nothing like her high maintenance character. The former Corrie star plays glamorous Maxine Minniver, but says she's more likely to wear comfy casuals in real life. "I'll wear make-up to go out at night, but I don't wear make-up during the day. I'm a lazy girl, I shove on something comfy. Maxine wears the most impractical outfits all day. She's covered in make-up, hair in rollers at 8am, the full shebang. So when I'm not working it's the no make-up look for me," she revealed. "I'm having so much fun playing her. Sitting in the make-up chair for more than an hour in the morning having Maxine's make-up and hair and everything like that done takes a long time but filming her is brilliant because she's just like no one I've ever met before. She's quite a random character, so fun to play." As for what she'd like to see happen for her character in 2013, Nikki said: "More of the same. I'm loving everything that they've thrown at Maxine at the moment. Everything that's she's doing is brilliant, give me more of the same!"
