Simon Cowell is left stunned by the dramatic return of a former X Factor contestant during tonight’s show

Tonight's X Factor sees the return of a very familiar face.

Along with the many new faces that tonight's brand new episode of The X Factor will bring, another rather familiar face will make a return to the show - a full eleven years later!

Much to Simon's shock, a former contestant has returned to try her luck once more... and she looks utterly unrecognisable.

Fully seasoned fans may remember that all the way back in 2006, X Factor hopeful Tracy Leanne Jefford had managed to make it all the way to Boot Camp before being sadly booted from the show.

Not to let her departure from the show ruin her dreams, Tracy has returned once more to try her luck - much to Simon's surprise.

During her audition, which will be aired in tonight's show, the 34-year-old performed a rendition of The Shirelles classic Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.

However, it was Tracy's personal journey which moved the judges the most - as the full time mother almost brings the entire panel to tears.

After performing, Tracy reveals that she has already auditioned for Simon before and the reason he doesn't recognise her is because she's lost an incredible five stone since then.

Speaking of her past audition, Tracy shares with the judges: "I had no confidence back then. I didn’t feel beautiful, I felt ugly".

However, Tracy then added that she believes her second appearance on the show will be much more successful than the last as this time she's ready to achieve. She shares: “Back then I don’t think I was ready because my kids were younger.”

The mother also revealed that her divorce from the father of her children had left her shattered and ready for a change, another reason why she has decided to try her luck once more.

Fingers crossed Tracy manages to impress the panel! The X Factor will be aired tonight on ITV at 8pm.
