EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo has revealed that taking another beating as Deano might prove a lot less painful than his upcoming stint on Strictly Come Dancing. Matt was unveiled today as one of the 14 celebrity contestants that will be taking part in the fifth series of the popular BBC1 show, which hits our screens this autumn. In his current EastEnders storyline, Deano was badly beaten up by one of Sean Slater's heavies after colluding with Chelsea Fox to put him in the frame for an attack on Patrick Trueman. Asked if he thought wearing dancing shoes would be easier than being in Deano's shoes right now, he said: "If you'd have asked me three days ago, I would have said yes. But I honestly don't know now - it is really difficult." And he's hopeful that his fellow EastEnders will be giving him their full support. He said: "Everybody knows - and they think it will be a good laugh." Fellow EastEnder Letitia Dean will also be taking part in the show, as will Coronation Street's 'Tricky Dicky' Brian Capron.
