Strictly Come Dancing has revealed its seventh celebrity contestant.

CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual will be joining the other famous faces competing for the Glitterball trophy in September.

Karim said, "To be offered the chance to take part in Strictly is dumbfounding, I’m pinching myself…! I’m so excited to be Strictlified. I want THE LOT.

"The skimpiest of clothes, the widest of flares, the brightest of colours and the tallest Cuban heel a guy can find! The more flamboyant the better… sequins galore please!!"

The presenter, 25, has been working with CBBC since 2014 and has also presented for the likes of BBC Young Dancer and Wimbledon Live.

Karim will be joining BBC Breakfast presenter Mike Bushell, Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, former England goalkeeper David James, comedian Chris Ramsey, EastEnders actress Emma Barton and YouTube sensation Saffron Barker.

Meanwhile, former Corrie actress Catherine, whose name was announced on Thursday, admitted she's terrified about taking to the dancefloor this autumn.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. I’m a huge fan of the show. It’ll be my biggest challenge to date as I’m not much of a dancer, but I’ve always wanted to learn the skill and the time feels right! I’m nervous as hell but super excited to work with such talented professionals.”

The celebrity contestant announcements come a few weeks after Motsi Mabuse was confirmed as the new judge.

The professional dancer and judge on Let's Dance (the German version of Strictly) admitted she can't wait to get started after landing the lucrative gig.

“I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the Strictly judging panel," Motsi said. "I have so much respect and admiration for the other three judges and hope to add my own bit of sparkle to the show. I can’t wait to get started!”
