US actress Tea Leoni is to star alongside Ricky Gervais in romantic comedy Ghost Town, it's been reported. Variety magazine says that 41-year-old Tea will play the female lead in the film, which will also star Little Miss Sunshine actor Greg Kinnear. It tells the story of a dentist, played by Extras star Ricky, who dies temporarily during a routine operation. When he's revived seven minutes later he is able to see the dead, and is bothered by the ghost of a businessman (Greg) who wants him to stop Tea's character's impending marriage. The screenplay has been written by John Kamps (The Borrowers, Zathura) and David Koepp (Carlito's Way, Panic Room, Spider-Man). David will also direct. It will be produced by Gavin Polone, who was executive producer on TV series Curb Your Enthusiasm, and shooting is scheduled to being in New York this October. Tea will soon be seen in Mafia comedy You Kill Me, and has previously appeared alongside Jim Carrey in Fun With Dick And Jane as well as Bad Boys and Deep Impact.
