The Voice winner Kevin Simm’s single fails to storm charts, debuting at 24

The Voice winner Kevin Simm has failed to break into the top 20, while Drake has landed his first UK Number One as a lead artist.

Far from achieving The Voice’s first number one, 2016 winner Kevin, who appeared to be on course for his single, All You Good Friends, to enter the Top 10 at the beginning of the week, ended up debuting at number 24.

Drake previously hit the top spot as a guest on Rihanna’s What’s My Name? in 2011, but has finally scored a winner with One Dance, notching 72,000 combined sales and rocketing up 20 places in the chart from last week.

Sia’s Cheap Thrills takes the second spot for another week, while Mike Posner’s I Took A Pill In Ibiza slips to third despite being the most streamed song of the week.

Fifth Harmony’s Work From Home drops to number four, while Zara Larsson rounds off the top five with Lush Life.

In the album charts, Colorado folk-rock band The Lumineers have landed their first UK number one, beating off competition from Adele and All Saints’s comeback album Red Flag.

With just 301 more sales than second place competitor Adele, The Lumineers described their number one for Cleopatra as “shocking”.

Making their first appearance in the Official Album Charts in nearly a decade, Red Flag takes third place, while Aled Jones’s One Voice climbs to four and Deftones’s Gore debuts at five.
