There’s more Hollywood nuttiness as Matt LeBlanc, Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan return for the last-ever series of this fabulous comedy in which Matt plays an egotistical and idiotic version of himself. As we catch up with the trio, Matt’s new gameshow The Box has become a huge ratings success, while screen-writing husband and wife team, Beverly and Sean (Tamsin and Stephen), have been forced to work with odious producer Tim, who’s slowly slaughtering the comedy they created. As always there are laugh-out-loud moments, and our favourite tonight comes courtesy of Matt, whose attempts to get fruity with a box-encased contestant prove both disastrous and painful! Rating: *****
The Tempest, 4pm, CBeebies
Pirates, shipwrecks, and magical islands… the perfect combination for a kids’ adventure. Only this was written for adults in the early 17th Century. Just as with their A Midsummer Night’s Dream a couple of years ago, CBeebies’ take on The Tempest is a great way to introduce children to Shakespeare, and with the help of favourites Andy Day and Justin Fletcher, the little ones will be swept along by the music and mystery. Rating: ***
Britain’s Great Cathedrals, 8pm, C5
York Minster – backdrop to some of the most dramatic moments in British history – has quite literally stood the test of time, surviving fires, subsidence and World War Two bomb attacks. And who better to celebrate this majestic gothic edifice than TV’s favourite comedy-actor-turned-historian, Sir Tony Robinson, in the first of this series celebrating Britain’s cathedrals. Later in the run he’ll visit Canterbury and Winchester, but first up Tony gets exclusive access to some of the thousands of items that were dug up during York Minster’s structural work, which have remained unexamined for 50 years. Perfect Good Friday fare. Rating: ***
