TOWIE star Lucy vows to stay faithful to boyfriend, Strictly champion Louis Smith

Lucy Mecklenburgh said she would 'never cheat' on new love Louis Smith after sharing 'the best first date' ever.

The reality TV star, who shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, and the Olympic gymnast who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2012 have been dating for three months.

Lucy, whose rocky relationship with Mario Falcone was featured in Towie, told Hello! Magazine she would never betray Louis.

She said: "I've experienced what it feels like (to have an unfaithful partner) so I would never cheat.

"I trust Louis completely and I don't think I've ever felt that way before. His mum even said to me on New Year's Eve, 'Louis would never cheat on you. He would never hurt you'."

Louis said he had 'tried to sweep her off her feet', saying: "We've only been seeing each other for three months, but it feels so easy, as if we've known each other for ages."

The athlete cooked spaghetti and meatballs on their first date before Christmas, impressing Lucy, who said: "It was probably the best first date I've ever had."

Louis says his mother, Elaine, 'definitely approves of her.

He said: "One of things I really like about Lucy is that she is close to her family, too. She has good family morals and has been brought up well."
