Best TV shows on TV tonight
Waterloo Road, 8 pm, BBC One, iPlayer (box set)
Waterloo Road 2.0 has given us everything: shock deaths, protests, affairs and, of course, lots of teen angst. There’s no letting up on the drama as the series concludes. It’s the last day of school and life is sweet for Danny (Adam Abbou). The troubled teen has scored top marks in his exam resits and is in high spirits as he rehearses for a guitar solo at the end-of-term concert. Just as he’s about to go on stage, though, Danny spots Vinny (Jason Milligan) in the audience and, fearing for his life, makes a run for it… It’s a fitting end to what’s been a cracking series, and we really hope we don’t have to wait eight years for the next one. ★★★★ VW
First Dates Valentine's, 10 pm, Channel 4
Fred Sirieix is, as ever, his relaxed and charming self, but the daters are feeling under pressure to find true love as it’s the 14 February edition. Will keen clubber Amanda and party rep Ryan be up all night? Can recruitment consultant Annie trust that older date Dave is the right man for the job? Does chef Andrew have a recipe for romance after make-up artist Erin has been burnt on Instagram? And how will cakemaker Agneta rise to the occasion once she discovers businessman Brendan has been on a thousand dates? It’s fun finding out. Perfect Match, a far more strategic dating game, also launches on Netflix today. ★★★ NT
Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad, 9 pm, ITV1, ITVX (box set)

Panama is the final stop on the Walshes’ Latin American road trip, so there’s just one more gravity-defying challenge in store for height-fearing Bradley, and when they arrive in Panama City, the skyscraper skyline is a big clue to what Barney has lined up! Brad’s not best pleased, and even less so when he learns he’s not just climbing up a skyscraper but cleaning its windows as well! Meanwhile, Brad and Barns get competitive, playing ancestral games with indigenous tribes, and they end on a musical note when they meet Grammy Award-winning jazz star Danilo Pérez. ★★★★ MD
Ben Fogle: New Lives In the Wild, 9 pm, Channel 5
When people dream of getting away from it all, it’s unlikely they picture living next to five-metre-long crocodiles, but this is exactly what conservationists Lyndon and Ruth have done. Ben ventures into Kafue National Park, Zambia, to meet the couple, who have built a safari-lodge business and are bringing up their two children, Indiana and Ivy, in the bush. The little girls’ introductory advice to Ben: ‘Don’t go near the river.’ Ben learns about the hardships of floods, losing a friend to a man-eating croc and ex-Army officer Lyndon’s PTSD, but he also witnesses the huge positive of how the family living in remote isolation are supported by the local community. And, wow, that sunset. ★★★ NT

Then, when a night out at an elite members’ club ends in tragedy, Joe finds himself embroiled in a murder-mystery. Has the hunter become the hunted?
