Watch a trailer for Ripper Street series 3 (VIDEO)

The much-anticipated third series of Ripper Street is premiering on Amazon Prime in November and it looks like life is worse than ever in Victorian Whitechapel.

The show was axed by the BBC last year, but thanks to a fan campaign it was picked up by Amazon who will be premiering the new eight-part series from Friday, November 14.

Launching with a double-bill, there will then be a new episode available every week culminating in a finale on Boxing Day.

Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg and Myanna Buring are all seen reprising their roles in the new trailer, which shows a devastating train wreck sequence that launches the new series.

Ripper Street 3 will also screen on BBC1 in 2015.
