As she prepares to host ITV2’s new reality show Love Island – which follows a bunch of fit and sexy singletons looking for love and romance in Majorca – host Caroline Flack says she hopes the show will help her find her own Mr Right…

Talking to Mirror Online, the Strictly Come Dancing champion says: “I’m a good listener and I’ll listen to what they have to say. But I don’t know that I can offer love advice.

“I’m 35 and single. I don’t think you ever learn a lesson. You just keep making the same mistakes and going ‘uh-oh’.

“That is why I am doing the show, to be honest, to take advice from the contestants! I can jot down their chat-up lines.”

Caroline has been single for more than six months after splitting from music manager Jack Street at the tail end of last year. And although she admits that she would like to settle down with someone and start a family, she’s nervous about entering the dating game – especially if it involves going online…

I have never done it,” she says. “I think I am old fashioned and I like to get into conversation with someone and get to know them that way.

“Is Mr Right out there? Maybe. You never know what is around the corner.”
