Rocker Storm Lee and duo Diva Fever have become the latest two acts to get the boot from X Factor in the second double elimination of the series. Storm - the first of Louis' over-28s to be voted out - left after receiving the lowest number of public votes after the results were announced on Sunday night's show. Diva Fever, meanwhile, had to compete in the sing-off with girl group Belle Amie - which meant their mentor Simon Cowell would potentially be in the position of having to vote off one of his own acts. However he was spared the task after Louis, Dannii and Cheryl all voted to send Diva Fever home before he had a chance to cast his vote. "This is such a tricky one because I like both acts," Louis told the groups. "However I'm going to save the act that I think will get better with the show." Dannii, meanwhile, opted to save Belle Amie based on their performance in the sing-off, while Cheryl's final vote to send Diva Fever home sealed their fate. And Simon remained non-committal about which act he would have voted off if it had come to it. "I don't have to answer that question now," he said when quizzed by Dermot O'Leary. "They've gone, let's just leave it at that." However he did later apologise to the duo for Saturday night's song choice, the current hit Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce. "I accept full responsibility," he said. "I've let you down and I'm sorry." Band member Craig Saggers admitted, "We think we really can sing. With better songs we could have done a lot better." However he added, "We have had the time of our life. It's been mad being on The X Factor." "We just went in it to have fun and make people smile," said bandmate Josef Al-Smadi. Storm Lee, meanwhile, looked disappointed to have been voted out but promised fans that he would continue trying to make it big. "I just want everyone out there who's ever believed in something to never, ever give up because you haven't seen the best of me yet, let me tell you," he told Dermot O'Leary. Storm's departure now leaves Louis with Mary Byrne, John Adeleye and Wagner Fiuza-Carillho in his category. However Simon is now down to just two groups - Belle Amie and boyband One Direction. All of Dannii's remaining acts - Matt Cardle, Aiden Grimshaw and Paije Richardson - made it through on the public vote. Cheryl remains the only judge who is yet to lose an act, after all four of her girls - Cher Lloyd, Treyc Cohen, Rebecca Ferguson and Katie Waissel sailed through to next week. Katie, who was saved by the judges last week, managed to avoid the sing-off this week despite being one of the favourites to leave. The results show also featured performances from former X Factor finalist Diana Vickers and from Katy Perry, who was a guest judge at the auditions earlier in the series.
