BGT's Asanda tipped for Into The Woods role

Britain's Got Talent finalist Asanda Jezile reportedly has her sights set on Hollywood after being tipped for a role in the film adaptation of Into The Woods.

According to The Sun On Sunday the 11-year-old - who wowed the judges on the show - is in line to play Little Red Riding Hood in the movie, based on the musical by Stephen Sondheim.

The paper reports that she received a callback after auditioning for the part in London on Friday - and if all goes well she could be sharing screen space with the likes of Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and  Jake Gyllenhaal.

A source said that director Rob Marshall was impressed by the youngster, instantly recognising her 'star quality'.

"He thinks she  might be exactly what they are looking for," the insider said. "If she manages to get the part it will be a huge break for her."

Her manager, Jonathan Shalit, added: "Aside from being a great singer, Asanda has all the makings of a great acting star."

The Londoner initially won rave reviews from the Britain's Got Talent panel for her first audition, when she performed Rihanna's chart-topper Diamonds.

Simon Cowell told her: "I've never seen someone with such great stage presence for an 11-year-old. You are seriously, seriously good."

Alesha Dixon, meanwhile, said: "I can hear you on a record already."

Asanda made it to the final of the show last Saturday night, but lost out to shadow theatre troupe Attraction.
