TV presenter Declan Donnelly has spoken of his heartache following his split from girlfriend Georgie Thompson. The 35-year-old - currently back on screens as the co-host of Britain's Got Talent alongside Ant McPartlin - told The Sun he was "upset and disappointed" by the break-up of the relationship. "I honestly don't want to go into why we split," he said. "I'll always have fond memories." However the paper claims that his romance with Georgie - who is a presenter on Sky Sports News - came to an end due to his reluctance to take things to the next level. "There were no big rows, it just reached the stage where they had to decide where it was going," a friend told The Sun. "They love each other dearly but couldn't see it turning into a marriage. Georgie is 34 this year and, like most women at that age, is thinking about marriage and kids. "Dec just isn't thinking like that. He's a very private person and likes living on his own." A spokesman for the couple confirmed, "Dec and Georgie's relationship has sadly come to an end. Nobody else was involved and they remain good friends." The pair had been together for two years although Georgie had not moved into Dec's West London home, which is round the corner from where Ant lives with his wife, make-up artist Lisa Armstrong.
