Susan Boyle would like the actress who plays TV slob Rab C Nesbitt's wife to portray her in a film of her life. The former Britain's Got Talent star, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise, told the Radio Times she was surprised by the amount of attention she had attracted in the first place. She said: "A wee lady from Blackburn, West Lothian, walks on stage with a terrible frock, tights that were probably ripped and her hair in a mess. Then, two months later, she's appearing in Harper's Bazaar magazine." Asked who would play her in a biopic, Susan plumped for Elaine C Smith, who plays Mary Nesbitt, the long-suffering wife of sozzled Scot Rab C Nesbitt. Susan said: "She's a very talented actress on Scottish television." Asked if she had ever considered giving up singing, Susan said: "Yes, when my mother died, because I was too upset to continue. But she would have wanted me to go on and that's something I promised I would do." Susan added: "My guiltiest pleasure while appearing on television was with Piers Morgan. I did say I'd never been kissed, but it's official: Piers was my first!" Susan also said she would love to duet with Donny Osmond, and would have Nellie the Elephant played at her funeral because: "You've got to leave them laughing."
