Vicky Pryce for Celebrity Big Brother?

Speculation is rife that Vicky Pryce, the ex-wife of disgraced former MP Chris Huhne, could be taking part in the forthcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The 61-year-old spent two months in prison earlier this year after being found guilty of perverting the course of justice following claims she had accepted driving licence penalty points on her husband's behalf.

And although her name has yet to be linked with the show, an error on the Paddy Power website on Friday reported allowed punters to bet on her being evicted, alongside fellow nominees including Hazel O'Sullivan and Charlie Travers.

The mistake has led to fans of the show suggesting that she may be joining others in the house when the series launches on August 22.

If Pryce were to take part she would not be the first contestant with a political background.

Both Sally Bercow - wife of House Of Commons speaker John Bercow - and MP George Galloway have taken part in the show in the past.

The latter caused a storm of controversy after taking part in a task which required him to impersonate a cat and lick milk from a bowl proferred by fellow housemate Rula Lenska.

Others tipped to be taking part in Celebrity Big Brother this year include Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby, football pundit Ron Atkinson, Loose Woman's Carol McGiffin, OutKast rapper Big Boi and model Sophie Anderson - who was a previous contestant on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

The series will kick off at 9pm on August 22 followed by a second live show the next night which promises a 'big twist'.
