Coronation Street builds towards traumatic week as terrible secrets emerge

Coronation Street’s deepest secrets will be revealed – as Carla Connor desperately tries to stop news of her one night stand emerging, as the Platts try to hide the truth about Callum Logan’s buried body.

A dramatic week of episodes on ITV will run over five days later in May, but will cover a single 24-hour period in the lives of Weatherfield’s residents, when secrets become unravelled.

Carla (Alison King) is set to marry Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), but she has faced the problem of keeping Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) quiet.

Tracy knows about her ill-judged one night stand with Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill).

The Platt family are in much worse trouble: they are still hiding the grisly secret of Callum Logan’s body, which is buried under the floor in Gail’s flat.

But secrets will come out as Callum’s corpse is finally unearthed, and as Tracy does her best to ruin Carla and Nick’s wedding.

Soap bosses have teased that the wedding will take place 'in true soap style' and will be full of 'shocks and surprises' – as you would expect.

As the day of the wedding draws closer, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) decides to stop Tracy’s sabotage, taking 'desperate measures' to keep her away from the ceremony. How? By locking her in the store cupboard.

It remains to be seen whether this is enough to stop a determined Tracy…

With Alison King about to leave the soap, will her character get her happy ending and drive off into the sunset and a happily ever after? Or will Tracy manage to destroy her?

And is it the end of the line for Sarah, Kylie and David Platt as the police knock on the door?
