Coronation Street star Kym Marsh confirms she's engaged to Dan Hooper

Kym Marsh has announced her engagement to her boyfriend Dan Hooper.

The Coronation Street star, 38, who has been dating 31-year-old Dan for seven months, confirmed the news after newspapers broke the story at the weekend.

She tweeted to her 518,000 followers: "Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. Yes, the news is true and I just can't tell you how happy we both are!"

A source told the Daily Mail: "Dan hadn't told Kim what was going to happen, but they both dressed up for a big night out. Even though they haven't been together for long, they both know it's completely right."

Kym has been married twice before, to Jack Ryder and Jamie Lomas, and is mother to David, Emily and Polly.
