Coronation Street spoilers: Steve McDonald picks up a dodgy passenger

The dopey cabbie ends up being involved in an armed robbery

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has revealed how Steve McDonald is in fear for his life next week when he gets caught up in an armed robbery.

Steve is suffering money worries as slick Street Cars rival GoLucky is nabbing his profits and Tracy dreams up the illegal plan of picking up punters off the street when Steve’s only licensed for advanced bookings.

“Steve knows what Tracy is suggesting is illegal but he’s under pressure and takes the risk,” explains Simon.

“This could only happen to Steve!,” says Simon. “But he really does fear for his life. He has been in some scrapes before, but this is terrifying.”
