Coronation Street's Kym Marsh and fiance Dan Hooper 'on a break'

Kym Marsh and her fiance Dan Hooper are 'taking a break' five months after announcing their engagement.

The 38-year-old Coronation Street actress, who plays Michelle Connor and has been married twice previously, had planned to wed personal trainer Dan, 32, next year.

Dan denied they had called off their engagement, but admitted that the couple, who moved in together, were having some time apart.

Kym and second husband Jamie Lomas, father to her daughter Polly, divorced last year.

The actress was previously wed to EastEnders star Jack Ryder and has two teenage children, David and Emily, from a previous relationship.

She has said of her relationship with Dan, who she met when he had a few scenes on the cobbles: “I’ve never been happier. I feel like a weight’s been lifted off my shoulders and it’s all because of Dan.”

Dan, who has a young daughter with Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring, has gushed: “It didn’t take me very long to fall in love. Kym’s amazing inside and out. We laugh all the time.”
