Jennie McAlpine: 'Fiz's wedding is a tearjerker'

Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine has revealed that tonight’s episode - featuring her character Fiz's wedding - is set to be a tearjerker. The factory worker is set to marry jailbird John Stape in the prison he's serving time in. Jennie said: "There were quite a lot of tears along the way, it's weird to say I enjoy Fiz crying and I do, in a way - it's a nice storyline to work on but it might be quite sad for the viewers in parts." "It's different from other Corrie weddings because there's a limited number of guests in a prison chapel. There hasn't been all the organising, and there isn't going to be a reception or a honeymoon, obviously, because John has to go back to his cell. "I thought it would be easier to film, but when you get down to it, it's the same amount of scenes and same amount of going off on location. "We film in lots of different locations for the prison but they cleverly make it look like the same place. So there have been lots of days filming."
