Noel Gallagher has apparently revealed he's spending his time off catching up on Coronation Street. The former Oasis star told the Daily Star he's not working on a solo album at the moment - and is instead watching his favourite soap. He said: "I'm not doing a solo album as I'm taking time off - I'm enjoying bumming around watching Coronation Street." He continued: "I much prefer it to EastEnders. That show is too depressing for me." Noel, who is known to be a big fan of the Manchester-based show, reportedly also claimed that he's been asked to appear in Corrie 'loads' but has always turned it down. A spokeswoman for the soap said: "We know he's a huge fan of the show, and I'm sure it would be interesting at some point to see him on the Street but no official approach has been made."
