Corrie's Beverley Callard eyes up a new TV role

Coronation Street star Beverley Callard reveals how many tattoos she has

She's best known for pulling pints at the Rover's Return, but Beverley Callard is eyeing up another TV role as she hopes to join the revival of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps - if Corrie will let her.

The 62-year-old actress starred in the comedy series as Flow Henshaw from 2001 to 2003. And, with news of a revival on the cards, Beverley is keen to get on board. But there's just one problem. Corrie.

Speaking about the chance of starring in the one-off special, she explained, "They do keep talking about Two Pints coming back, but I think I would have a problem because it is the BBC and I think Corrie might not... but they do keep talking about a one-off special and that Flo would come back as a ghost, which I would love - I would love it!"

Unfortunately for Beverley - who would love to bring back her "iconic" character - it's unlikely ITV will let Beverley sign up for a BBC show.

But that didn't stop her from reminiscing about her time on Two Pints.

"What an amazing cast that was and I had the best of both worlds because I had left Coronation Street because I had wanted to do something different and then Sue Nickson, the writer, wrote Flo especially for me because she knows I am mad.

"And it was an iconic character so I am so lucky. We had the best of both worlds in the fact it was on mainstream television but we had a live audience as well. So it was just wonderful to do. I loved it."

Despite its huge popularity, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps was axed in 2011. Actor, Will Mellor, was the first to reveal its long-awaited return last week.

Explaining that he'd been inundated with messages since Gavin and Stacey announced their Christmas Special, Will went on to reveal he's been trying to set the wheels in motion to get a Two Pints one-off special off the ground.

"I spoke to Susan Nickson (the show's creator) and we are hopefully going to try and get a Two Pints special going. Just to say thank you for all the support of people who love the show and got behind it.

"Watch this space, just got to dot the 'i's and cross the 't's and hopefully a Two Pints special will be on the way."

We can't wait!
