Dancing On Ice: Shock for Jorgie on props night

Sunday's Dancing On Ice saw a shock reversal of fortune among the favourites as Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter found herself at the bottom of the judges' scoreboard for the first time this series. As the final five faced a circus-themed props week in a bid to reach next weekend's semi-final, the actress picked up a disappointing 23 out of 30 from the judges, who were underwhelmed by her routine to Lana del Rey's hit Video Games. "I found it quite boring," Louie Spence told her. "It wasn't the normal performance you would give, it was emotionless for me." Robin Cousins was kinder, calling the performance "beautiful", but he added, "it didn't have the technical content we are used to seeing you do." While Jorgie had a disappointing night, Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden once again triumphed, topping the judges' scoreboard with 28. The actor - who incorporated a lion tamer's whip into his routine - wowed the judges with a routine which saw him lift partner Nina Ulanova right above his head. "The whole performance had everything," Katarina Witt said. "It looked very natural to me, so leave it at that!" Louie added, "You owned that performance and every one of those props - it was fast, furious and fabulous!" Chico also upped his game, finishing in second place with 27 points for his 'circus strongman' routine with partner Jodeyne Higgins, which saw him pull off a tricky lift as well as jump over a barbell on the rink. "You are getting stronger and stronger," Louie told him. "You are fantastic and you deserve to be here next week." "You seem to shine every week more and more," Katarina added, "The lift was just brilliant...but to make it look so effortless was really good." Chemmy Allcott was another contestant picking up her highest score of the series - scoring 26 for a magic-themed routine which saw her playing magician's assistant to partner Sean Rice. "You could have a new career as an actress," Katarina told her, while Robin said, "It was really powerful, very strong and very fluid...let's see if you can pull the rabbit out of the hat and be here next week." Jennifer Ellison rounded off the show with a routine which saw her and partner Daniel Whiston in clown outfits, skating to the Toy Story song You've Got A Friend In Me - and scoring 24.5 for their efforts. "It made us smile, it was simple," Louie said. "There wasn't a huge amount of choreography but the guys with more props have been more inventive and fuller." "It didn't draw on your skating skills," Robin admitted, "but it did draw on your skills as an actress...it worked really lovely tonight."
