Dancing On Ice: Time's up for Greg!

Tennis ace Greg Rusedski has missed out on a place in the Dancing on Icesemi-final after being voted off the show. Greg had made it to the final five of the series against all the odds, having received low scores and criticism from the judges each week. However he proved popular with the public, and only landed in the skate-off for the first time this week - along with Corrie star Zaraah Abrahams, voted into the bottom two for the third week running. And once again, the judging panel voted to save Zaraah - who has so far seen off competition from Steve Backley and Linda Lusardi in the bottom two. This week she won the vote by four to one, with Nicky Slater instead choosing to save Greg. Ironically he received his highest score of the series this week - 20.5 out of 30 for his routine to Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. "There is never a dull moment with you Greg," said Karen Barber, "and what you lack in ability and rhythm you make up in enthusiasm. But whether it's enough tonight I don't know." Sunday's show saw the five remaining couples incorporating props into their routines - and Jason Gardiner was quick to make reference to Greg's use of a broom and table. "Tonight you weren't the most wooden out there," he joked, you had a table and a broom." However it was a better week for the other celebrities, with Chris Fountain, Gareth Gates and Suzanne Shaw all breezing through to the semi-final. Suzanne took to the ice despite a rocky week which saw her injuring her partner Matt Evers with an ice skate chipping an ankle bone in rehearsals. There was speculation that the former Hear'Say singer would have to quit the show but she admitted she was determined to take to the ice. "With Matt's bad eye I thought 'I've got to do this, I've got to carry on'".
