Nicollette Sheridan is to leave Desperate Housewives. Her representative confirmed to people.com that the actress, who plays real estate agent Edie Britt, will be packing her bags and leaving Wisteria Lane this season. "She had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project," the spokesman said. English-born actress Nicollette will be making her grand exit in April, with the series finale going out in the US in May. There's no word yet on how Edie will make her departure, although creator Marc Cherry previously hinted at dramatic goings on for the character in the sixth season, currently screening in America. The fifth series is about to return to Channel 4 in the UK. He said that Nicollette's character would be crossing a moral boundary that 'will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane'.
