Comic actor Martin Clunes has told Horse Magazine that he's a keen and accomplished horseman and the love of his life - wife and child aside - is a horse called Chester. The Doc Martin star said: "He is a Shire X Hanoverian X hunter and he is pretty big, so it was quite scary when I first went to see him. "He's a blokey kind of horse I think - he can be quite shovey until you shove him back. But he loves me." Such is his love for all things equine, Martin has recently completed filming a documentary about horses, Horsepower, to be shown on ITV1 later this year. "All the things I got to do, from riding Arab horses in Abu Dhabi to quarter-horses in the Wild West, were amazing," said Martin. "I think the point of this programme is that it's a journey of discovery for people watching, as well as for me. "I'm largely ignorant about a lot of this, but I am finding out along with the viewer and that's what makes for good television - I hope."
