EastEnders' boss: The Bobby Beale story will 'reach its climax at Christmas'

EastEnders producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has teased an explosive Christmas in Albert Square for Bobby Beale.

The young son of Ian Beale was revealed earlier this year as the murderer of his half-sister Lucy Beale, and the 'Who Killed Lucy?' storyline could be reaching its conclusion this festive season.

“Bobby is definitely one to watch all the way to Christmas,” said Treadwell-Collins at an EastEnders press event. “As we see he’s a little bit of a little b*****d. There’s a lot more to come with Bobby – and that story is going to reach its climax at Christmas.”

Meanwhile, he also teased massive upcoming storylines for Sharon Mitchell, Phil Mitchell, Stacey Branning and Martin Fowler, stating that over the next few months 'they are the people to watch'.

At a press screening of the upcoming hour-long EastEnders Halloween special, Treadwell-Collins explained: “This episode kicks off a lot of big things.

“Also, we build towards Christmas and Dean (Wicks, actor Matt Di Angelo) is still circling, and we’re building towards the not-so-small secret of the Carters’ new year wedding.”

Although being together for years, Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) are finally due to tie the knot on New Year’s Day.

However, it seems like the wedding won’t go entirely to plan as Treadwell-Collins recently revealed that Danny Dyer was fitted for a wetsuit ahead of a big stunt to screen on New Year’s Day.
