EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood has been axed from the soap and his character, Arthur “Fatboy” Chubb will depart from Albert Square at Christmas.
“We can confirm that Ricky will be leaving EastEnders and we wish him all the best for the future,” says an EastEnders spokesperson.
Exactly what that end will be for Fatboy is yet to be revealed…
Ricky Norwood was suspended from EastEnders for two months earlier this year for misconduct, but that has nothing to do with his departure.
“Ricky is a great guy and very popular on set. He’s leaving because it’s the end of Fatboy’s storyline,” says EastEnders according to the Express.
Fatboy has just got jiggy with Donna (Lisa Hammond) and instantly regretted it.

So, it doesn’t sound like those two will have a happy ending.
He’s also just started working on the car lot… Is he going to get involved in something dodgy and end up behind bars?
Or could Fatboy end up in a grave? The car lot belongs to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who is in a whole heap of trouble with the very nasty, very violent Gavin Sullivan (Paul Nicholas).
Is Fatboy going to become a victim of Gavin's violence?
Is Fatboy going to get mixed up in that trouble?
And will his last Christmas in Walford be his last Christmas…ever?
