EastEnders star Kara Tointon was up for Most Popular Actress at the National TV Awards, but she was adamant her co-star Lacey Turner should win it. Kara spoke to whatsontv.co.uk on the red carpet and said that while they're great friends, there was no competitiveness between them. "Lacey is fantastic. I'm such a big fan of hers. Obviously she's my work colleague and my mate. I'd love for her to win. She's won so many, obviously because she's so good," she said. Kara's own nomination just left her feeling 'strange' - she didn't quite know what to say about it. Later in the evening Lacey was chosen as Most Popular Actress, adding to her British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance earlier this year.
