EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has admitted she doesn't think her character Kirsty Branning's marriage to Max will last on the soap.
Viewers have seen Kirsty lie to her husband about being pregnant, in a bid to keep him from leaving her. And the actress revealed she doesn't hold out much hope for her character's relationship going the distance, especially since Max is still in love with his ex-wife Tanya.
Kierston said: "Oh no, I don't think it's going to last!"
In an interview with Inside Soap, Kierston, who joined the BBC soap in December, admitted she hopes that her character would get her revenge on Max if he was ever to cheat on her.
"What I am hoping comes out of it is that, if Max does cheat on her with anyone else, Kirsty won't turn into a drip because of it. I think she should do the dirty on him as well in that case!
"I know that Kirsty doesn't trust Max - would anyone? I'm not being funny, but look at his track record!"
One person Kirsty has been able to turn to in Albert Square during her fake-pregnancy saga is Kat Moon, something Kierston is particularly pleased about.

"I really like they've made my character friends with Kat, because they're both such fiery women. In the future I'd love to see those two out on the town together, knocking back the drinks and being all mouthy and funny.
"I'd love them to go absolutely wild!"
