Kat and Alfie have a lot of issues to deal with! Shane Richie is heading back to Albert Square this autumn

EastEnders has released new smiling snaps of Kat and Alfie Moon as Shane Richie heads back to the soap this autumn.

However, we reckon that the pair won’t be smiling for long! Alfie is apparently keen on them potentially getting back together, but what he doesn’t know is that Hayley Slater is still pregnant with his baby.

We imagine this could throw a big spanner in the works! We wonder how long it will be for Kat finds out the bombshell news?

EastEnders tweeted: "The Kat that got the Moon. Watch. This. Space.

It's not yet been revealed how long Shane will be back this time after making a short return as Alfie in May. When he returned then, Shane revealed that he hadn't even told his co-star Jessie Wallace or his mother about his comeback.

Kat and Alfie

Happy for now... but we don't think those smiles will last for Kat and Alfie

He told Good Morning Britain at the time: “My mum rang me last night from Dublin and said ‘I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about Alfie’…

“I was snuck in. Jessie’s one of my best friends. I couldn’t even tell her.”

Kat and Alfie were last seen together in the show Redwater.

EastEnders continues on BBC1.
