Danny Dyer is off to the theatre, so does this mean Mick is heading for a big spell behind bars?

Mick Carter may well be heading for a very long stretch behind bars after being arrested this week for shooting Stuart Highway.

In Tuesday’s episode, Mick (Danny Dyer) considers making a run for it but realises that there’s nowhere to go and accepts he’s going to be arrested after Stuart’s accusation. The police arrive at The Vic and take Mick away…

It doesn’t take Hercule Poirot to work out that shooting someone is a serious crime and that Mick will be heading to prison while the police investigate.

Meanwhile, in the real world Danny Dyer is lined up for not one, not two, but three theatre roles which means he’s going to presumably need a break from filming EastEnders.

So, we’re predicting a long stretch for Mick as Danny treads the boards. It was revealed last week that Danny and comedian Jo Brand are starring together in Nativity the Musical, which will enjoy a run in London at the Eventim Apollo, from 19th to 31st December.

Danny will star in the production as The Hollywood Producer, while Jo takes the part of The Critic.

And he’s also starring in two London West End plays alongside Sherlock actor Martin Freeman. He’s taking a part in a season of plays to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of Nobel Prize-winning playwright Harold Pinter.

Keep watching EastEnders - and find out if the theory is right!
