Emmerdale's Corrinne Wicks tells Soaplife that Ella's seduction of Adam isn’t the first time Ella’s been a cougar - and it may not be her last! All Ella wanted was Declan back, but now she's got him she's bored. "She's deeply in love with Declan, but he's not giving her enough attention," Corrinne tells Soaplife. So she's about to risk everything by seducing Adam... Why would Ella risk her relationship with Declan for a romp in the hay with Adam? "She's feeling neglected and rejected. Declan's focusing on the business and regards his relationship with Ella as something he doesn't have to make any effort with. But that's not the way she sees it..." We don't understand why she'd seduce her daughter's boyfriend, though... "It's not cold and calculating. I don't think it's planned. She hasn't looked beyond the prospect of sex, really, and the high she'd get from it. If she stopped to think she wouldn't want to hurt Mia or jeopardise her relationship with Declan." So what happens? "Ella and Adam have had a few drinks and Ella insists on giving Adam a manicure. It's the first time they get a bit close and I think the first time she picks up on the fact he might be a bit interested." They nearly kiss but Declan and Mia come home... and instantly Ella's all over Declan. Is she just playing a game? "Yes, to an extent, but it's because she wants her husband to give her the attention she needs." So, does the idea of having a toyboy appeal to Ella? "I think it would to most women. It's great playing Ella's naughty side, but I hope people will see there are reasons why she's doing this. She's not just a maneater... though it is quite nice to be one." Has Ella gone for younger men in the past? "I think this is a pattern. I think that what happened before she and Declan got divorced was that she had an affair. Now it's playing out again..." We're wondering if Ella could be up there with the best soap vixens... "Kim Tate was a fantastic soap vixen and if I could go along those lines with Ella it would be good. She's quite high maintenance and if Declan doesn't pay her enough attention perhaps she'll get a taste for young men."
