This ambitious new three-part series uses the latest technology and filming techniques to bring us up close to the cat family.

Episode one follows a pride of lions in Tanzania and a snow leopard looking for a mate in the Himalayas.

We also witness a hungry puma looking for lunch in the South American region of Patagonia…

but you may need to look away when a penguin is on the menu.

Plus, there’s some brilliant slow-motion footage of a cheetah running at full speed.

Don’t be fooled by the title, either – we also catch a glimpse of the world’s smallest feline, the rusty-spotted cat, which is so tiny it can fit in the palm of your hand. Fascinating.

This programme does not air in Wales.
