The second series of the hit show Big Little Lies bows out tonight on a high. Is a third in the works?

The Monterey Five have been put through the wringer in this second, phenomenal series of Big Little Lies – and it’s mostly thanks to the relentless Mary Louise (Meryl Streep has been a fantastic addition).

Perry’s mother has not only tried to take Celeste’s boys in a painful custody battle, she has also managed to manipulate or provoke Madeline, Jane, Bonnie and Renata in the process.

But the question is, will she discover the truth about her son’s death in this explosive finale?

Star Reese Witherspoon has teased that it "definitely ends with a bang", and while there’s no word of a third series yet, Big Little Lies’ mix of intrigue and complex female relationships is addictive viewing.
