There’s something in the air in Holby ED this week, as disillusioned doctor Ethan, and popular paramedic Dixie are both tempted to quit their jobs and relocate!
Lily is shocked into action when she sees her friend Ethan looking at jobs in Australia. She decides to take matters into her own hands and convinces clinical lead Connie to tempt Ethan into rescinding his resignation.
Connie takes a risk and gives Ethan until the end of the day to decide whether he’s really moving on. It’s an emotional challenge for the overworked medic, but at the eleventh hour he decides to stay – to Lily’s quiet delight!
Elsewhere, it’s the day of Dixie’s disciplinary hearing. Jesse makes an impassioned plea to the paramedic, asking her to say goodbye to Holby and move to Cornwall with her and daughter Olivia.
After a tough shift taking care of troubled patient Gerald (The Bill star Eric Richard), Dixie decides to choose love over work, and waves goodbye to Holby!
Also this week, Big Mac is stressed over the guilt of lying about best friend Noel’s attack. Robyn’s colleagues take creative action when she won’t stop crowing about her appearance on the cover of the Holby Pulse newsletter! And Connie gives her boyfriend Jacob the best gift she can think of for his birthday.
