Doctor Ethan Hardy’s lies come home to roost when love interest Effie Laurence is stricken with a mystery illness!

The drama kicks off when cystic fibrosis sufferer Effie (Abigail Hardingham) collapses while attending a medical trial for her condition. Previously Ethan (George Rainsford) doctored Effie’s notes stating she was fit for the trial, when really she wasn’t. Since then Ethan has also lied to Effie’s dad, Theo – an old university pal of Ethan’s – and told him Effie was definitely in the active group…

Ethan’s shaken when a seriously ill Effie is rushed to the ED this week. And, as her condition deteriorates, realises he may have put Effie in harms way by lying to get her on the trial…

One minute Jade’s happily teasing nursing pal Marty, the next she’s shocked to her core and questioning everything she knows about herself…

This week happy-go-lucky nurse Jade (Gabriella Leon) is floored when she bumps into her old social worker, Nigel Armstrong (Emmerdale’s Stephen Casey).

He’s at the hospital visiting a client and suggests they meet up for a cuppa later. Jade, however, is reluctant to meet with the man who knows more about how she ended up in care than she does.

Will Jade decide to leave the past in the past? Or find out more about where she came from?
