Ethan in danger
Doctor Ethan Hardy’s (played by George Rainsford) life is put in serious danger this week as he desperately tries to help the victims of a terrorist attack after a lorry is deliberately driven into a busy marketplace.
The drama unfolds while Ethan is in the middle of a driver-training refresher course with HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service), alongside his gruff but good-natured instructor ‘Big Al’ (former The Bill star Sam Callis)
Ethan and Al are first on the scene and attempt help a father called Andy and his daughter, Jenny, who are trapped in the chaos. Shortly after freeing Andy, all emergency personnel are told to evacuate when sniffer dogs detect a bomb.
Ethan is torn between staying with Jenny and seeking cover when the bomb explodes.
Will anyone survive the deadly blast?
Rash returns
Doctor Rash Masum (Neet Mohan) makes a sad return to Holby this week for the funeral of his mum, Madia. When news of the terrorist attack sweeps through the Holby community Rash decides to leave her ceremony in order to lend a helping hand to those in need…
Will his grieving father Ashock understand?
David’s surprise visitor
David (Jason Durr) is shocked when his son Ollie turns up at Holby ED unexpectedly. Ollie is desperate to talk to his father, but David hasn’t time as a major incident is declared.
Will new porter Rosa figure out what’s distressing Ollie? And what will David’s ex-wife – also called Rosa – think when she turns up looking for their son?

With Connie’s sudden departure ‘due to personal reasons’ announced to the team, it’s up to doctor Dylan Keogh (William Beck) to reluctantly step into the role of clinical lead. Is his level-headedness exactly what’s needed during a crisis?
Elsewhere, still recovering from last week’s near-fatal stabbing, Archie’s (Genesis Lynea) frustrated that she’s unable to assist her colleagues. Will she find a way to help?
Reprising their semi-regular guest roles this week are Kriss Dosanjh who plays Rash’s dad Ashlock, Lorraine Pilkington, as David’s ex wife Rosa and Harry Collett as Ollie.
