Gareth Malone is back on home turf this week as he returns to the South West for the penultimate regional heat in the series.

As he scours hay barns, harbours and high teas in his search for Britain's best amateur choir he hears a Bristol sea shanty band, a cake-loving WI group, a Guernsey church choir and some tuneful young farmers from Devon.

Meanwhile, auditions at Exeter University culminate in a song battle between the top two a cappella acts.

The hopefuls all compete in a sing-off to determine who will go on to represent the South West at a national level.

But first, they must pull off a performance in their home town with Gareth's help.
