Tony Robinson is 30 miles into his journey across the country, and this leg of the trek is an absolute stunner.

Tony's traversing the dramatic landscape of the Lake District, England's largest National Park, beginning in beautiful Borrowdale.

After joining a sheep farmer on a day of rounding up his Herdwicks (that iconic Lakes breed), Tony heads to Derwentwater and boats out to its only inhabited island, where he visits a couple lucky enough to live in the National Trust's Island House.

He also takes in Hawkshead, Ullswater and Shap, where he marvels at the ruins of Shap Abbey.

An enjoyable ramble with an entertaining guide.
