Two big name departures rock Holby City when Connie Beauchamp and Faye Byrne both quit the hospital for good. When Faye feels trapped by the Byrne family, she plots to escape with baby Harry and Joseph's money. The only obstacle in her way is wily nemesis Jac Naylor, who confronts Faye as she begins her flee out of the country. Jac manages to persuade Faye to leave baby Harry in Joseph's care, but can't stop the struggling nurse from ditching the UK. Faye leaves Holby surrounded by the same mystery with which she arrived and is last seen joining the team at a French hospital, vowing to go it alone... Connie, meanwhile, makes the big decision to quit her job at Holby City in order to care for her ailing father, who is suffering from dementia. But the Queen of Holby doesn't go without a bang and gives axe-weilding Hanssen the mother of all dressing-downs on her way out of the door. Meanwhile, the Holby team pull together to perform an operation on a familar face, with surprising consequences.
