Connie’s taken hostage by a convicted murderer!
Connie’s day gets off to a bad start when her childminder lets her down, and she’s forced to take daughter Grace to work. She’s also feeling pressure from boyfriend Jacob to tell Grace about their relationship. But soon these problems pale into insignificance when she’s taken hostage by a convicted murderer, who threatens to inject her with HIV positive blood unless she helps him escape!
Jacob ends up coming to Connie’s rescue. And, working together, the pair manages to escape without a physical scratch. But after the ordeal Connie is shaken up and realises what’s most important to her. She promises Jacob she’ll tell Grace about their relationship. However, before Connie gets a chance to come clean, Grace spots her mother kissing Jacob. Mother and daughter have a heart-to-heart and hurt Grace issues Connie with an ultimatum – it’s either me, or him!
Also this week Ethan lashes out at his friends and family as he comes to terms with the death of his mother and the discovery he’s inherited Huntington’s disease.
Max and new paramedic Jez bond, and Max invites his new pal to move in with him and sister Robyn. And although nurse Lofty is gone, he’s not forgotten – especially by Dylan.
Meanwhile the return of Mercedes (Hannah Spearritt) to the ED deepens the rift between Big Mac and Noel – until Louise and Jack take drastic action! They lock the former friends into a store cupboard until they’ve resolved their differences. Meanwhile, Mercedes’ life hangs in the balance after a drug overdose, and her ex Vince (Grantchester’s Andrew Knott) has to look after their son Connor.
