Connie is confident Holby ED will pass an inspection with flying colours this week. And with locum Dr Dylan Keogh on the team of inspectors, Connie’s convinced the ED’s a shoe in for a favourable report.
But with Connie’s in her element barking orders at the staff – especially sworn enemy Rita – it’s a case of pride coming before a fall!
The ED quickly turns into a circus – a convention of clowns turns up needing treatment, doctor Cal disappears for a quickie with his girlfriend, and the hospital’s computer service is hit by a virus, throwing the ED into chaos!
Unable to cope with the stress of the situation Connie has a full-on meltdown. Meanwhile, the inspectors note Connie’s contempt for her staff.
After the inspection Dylan let’s Connie know the reason the ED was inspected was because of complaints made by the relative of a former patient. Connie realises she’s treated her medical staff appallingly, especially Rita. But will she swallow her pride and apologies?
Elsewhere, the atmosphere has softened between consultant Zoe and her ex-boyfriend Max. By the end of their shift, the mismatched couple are back together and couldn’t be happier!
And Honey confronts Big Mac about his money problems when she sees him taking items from the hospital’s food bank for a second time…
