Daredevil singer Jane MDonald gets high in Australia and New Zealand in the second episode of Cruising with... on Channel 5
Daredevil Jane McDonald gets high in Australia and New Zealand in the latest outing of Crusing...
That Jane is one plucky lady.
The second part of her Antipodean adventure finds her in the New Zealand capital Wellington, where she has a go at quad-biking – 900m above sea level.
Then, after a helicopter ride over Auckland, Jane heads for the city’s imposing Sky Tower, where she attempts a heart-stopping ‘SkyJump’, before heading back to Sydney in Australia to climb the iconic Harbour Bridge (above).
Thankfully, in New Zealand, there are also some less high-octane treats for Jane, as she visits the (rather whiffy!) thermal pools of stunning Rotorua and even rubs noses with a traditional Maori tribe, but her attempt to play one of their war instruments is not a roaring success.
Stick to singing, Jane!

TV Times rating: ****

As TV Times Highlights Editor I get to hear about all the latest TV shows coming soon. Here at TVT HQ we are in the privileged position of selecting the best programmes from across all the channels and streaming platforms. Our mission is to make it easier for our readers to decide what to watch - and give them lots of choice of genres - all the latest shows, plus some nostalgic choices we call hidden gems, too. My career began with a postgraduate degree in periodical journalism (ahem, yes old school!) in 1991 and I’ve worked in TV media since 2000.
