Dawn angrily confronts May and accuses her of telling Rob to dump her. Dawn is gobsmacked when May reveals that, in fact, she encouraged Rob to start the affair so they could make sure of getting Dawn’s baby. A distraught Dawn makes an appointment at the abortion clinic but she’s shocked when she’s told that her pregnancy is too advanced for a termination. After a spat with May in the Vic, a destroyed Dawn sits drinking vodka as she runs a hot bath, determined to end her pregnancy herself... Ben nurses his bruises following his run-in with the bullies but finds no sympathy from Stella, who insists he go to school. Stella encourages a confused Ben to go to the Brannings for Lauren’s birthday party while she and Phil go out for dinner. At the party, Ian accidentally spills a drink on Ben and he borrows a t-shirt for Ben to change into. Ian is horrified when he discovers bruises on Ben’s body and demands to know who caused them. A terrified Ben blurts out that it’s Stella’s fault... Honey has her heart set on moving into a larger house now there’s another baby on the way and she asks Jane if they could rent the old Fowler house. Jane warns Honey that the house may be out of their price range but she has a word with Ian anyway. Jane points out to Ian that it would be better to have Honey and Billy as tenants than leave the house empty, but he’s still unsure. Also, Jean wants to go on holiday with Stacey; Stacey takes a birthday present for Lauren to the Brannings in a ploy to see Max; Yolande offers to help Dot out at the launderette.
