It's 2019, and Ethan Hawke is a blood expert working to reverse the effects of an epidemic that's turned the population into vampires.
The remaining humans are being hunted by the Vampire Army, held in factory farms, drained of their blood and then dumped as trash. Working in Australia, Hawke rebels and joins a group of former vampires (including Claudia Karvan) who have found a way of becoming human again.
