He begins in the north and the beautiful Arctic fox. With fur warmer than a polar bear’s, this fluff ball also has a way of keeping its paws warm in even the cruellest Arctic winter.

Next is the grey fox, the only fox to climb trees, and then Patrick hangs out with the ultimate pack hunter – the grey wolf.

But it’s not until he hits South America that the canine family’s real oddballs are revealed. One is the bush dog that has the head of a bear but webbed feet like an otter, which makes it well adapted to life in the Amazon swamps.
